A Cheroot is a thin, rough-looking machine made cigar that is open at both ends and sometimes slightly tapered. Some Cheroots resemble twigs and range in size from 4 inches to 6 inches. They were often smoked by cowboys and they were a popular cigar of soldiers who fought in the American Civil War.
